"Wow, it's even harder than it looks"

Those are the first words that came out of Alex's mouth after we started our lessons today and I couldn't stop laughing. Um, yeah, it really is, buddy.

The weather was perfect, so Alex and I spent over an hour today learning how to ride his new skateboard. I know this is only the first of many lessons, but I was totally impressed with how much he caught on to today. Ok, I'll admit, impressed, and a little scared.
He was adamant about wearing his elbow and knee pads and made sure he practiced falling to see how well they worked. Ha! Fine with me, makes for an even cuter picture. . . oh, and there's that added bonus of safety.
