Unanswered question

Submitted for your inspection..........spied from across the room
I was on my way to chorus rehearsal tonight when I saw this sign. There is a food bank at this church. So I was intrigued. What is in there?
Nothing
I repeat nothing.

So I went in and took my seat and thought.
What do you suppose was in there? It is a small box so there was no cake involved. Jewelry? Probably not.
My mind kept going back to the empty box.
what did I miss out on? It's not that I wanted or needed anything however what was in there?

As we went through song after song, my mind kept wandering back.
Was it soap? Calendars? Muffins? OMG the possibilities are endless.
Bricks, shoelaces, nail polish, lint, tires......probably not.

Wait a minute, I was kind of promised a wombat........

Every day I look for the perfect blip. I ask myself, do I crop it? Do I use a funky filter? Is it good enough? Not tonight. Nope tonight I hand off my angst.
What do you think was in there?


My chorus is called Women in Harmony. We are a 60 voice women's chorus based in Portland Maine. You can check us out on Facebook if you want. Our concert is this weekend.
. I have been in it since 1993. I met all my band members through it. Our pedal steel player is the conductor's husband.
It is a tremendous community.
And yes of course I sing soprano. :)
