A Gift with Love

A dear friend of mine recently died after I had supported her through terminal cancer and some very dark days. She had a partner who, although they loved each other, continued to live in his native Malta. She went over there and he came over here a lot - I guess you really could call it a long distance relationship. Anyway, today he sent me this exquisite silver and mother of pearl boat as a thank you for caring for his Ann, and so that I would have something special to remember them both by. I was truly touched. Sometimes the smallest gestures are in fact the biggest.
