today was the first day that all of my ph.d. group were back so it was nice to have a meeting and see everyone again.

i went to ucl to go to an organisational meeting for a reading group, but was a bit too late so just had coffee with fyodor and a nice man named alex that i just met.

after that i went to meet becky after work in bloomsbury (it is a nice area in a nice square) and we went into 'forbidden planet' to be nerds about all of the nerdy things. i don't know why it is called 'forbidden planet'. maybe it is because it is 'forbidden' to 'adults' because it is full of 'child' 'things'. or maybe it just sounds cool who knows
