Not everything is as it seems

Believe it or not this is a field!

What a stressful morning! On paper it all looked so simple, drive around 30 miles from home to exchange a key meter then drive a further 10 miles to investigate and repair a fault, and after that drive up to bristol by 12:30 for a meeting.

It was going so well, I arrived at job number 1 and completed it with plenty of time to spare so popped in the postcode for job number 2 which suggested a 25 minute trip. And that's where everything turned into the shape of a pear!

With only a few miles to go I was confronted by the first of many "Road Closed" signs, the road in question now resembling a river! After programming the Sat-Nav to find an alternative several times (and finding more floods!) I eventually arrived at job 2 just 90 minutes after leaving the last job!

I wouldn't mind so much but the rain had eased off so you'd think the roads would be passable by now? (as I type this the heavens have opened again!) Needless to say I didn't make it to Bristol on time but thankfully wasn't the last to arrive.

On the plus side I've almost finished laying the floor in our kitchen :-)
