The drugs don't work.
Firstly my eyes are feeling better (still a bit red round the edges but I appear to be clear of that nasty bout of 'rage' I had last week).
However, I've got a massively inflamed lymph gland just by my adam's apple (thankfully only one side is inflamed).
So.... yet more drugs.
This one will apparently reduce the swelling in my throat.
Secondly, in light of the above I still have to rest - so no driving to work. Which is actually rather annoying as I felt well enough to go back. Saying that after the Drs at 9.20 this morning I came back home, and crawled into JJ's bed and fell asleep until 1pm - so perhaps I do need to rest a bit more.
So at the moment I'm taking 4 lots of paracetamol a day interspersed with 3 lots of Ibuprofen to relieve the pain in my throat, 4 lots of Maxitrol for the eyes, numerous doses of this throat spray (4 to 8 sprays every hour or so!), plus then the obligatory anti-depressent at the end of the day to keep my happy (quite frankly, I'd be happy if the rest of them would just bloody work).
Fingers crossed I get to go outside at some point tomorrow and summon up the energy to take a proper photo for my 365th. Failing that I'm sure there is a house that is number 365 a short walk from here.....
Very appropriate opening lines :)
The drugs don't work!
All this talk of getting old
It's getting me down my love
Like a cat in a bag, waiting to drown
This time I'm comin' down
And I hope you're thinking of me
As you lay down on your side
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
But I know I'm on a losing streak
'Cause I passed down my old street
And if you wanna show, then just let me know
And I'll sing in your ear again
Now the drugs don't work
They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
'Cause baby, ooh, if heaven calls, I'm coming, too
Just like you said, you leave my life, I'm better off dead
All this talk of getting old
It's getting me down my love
Like a cat in a bag, waiting to drown
This time I'm comin' down
Now the drugs don't work

They just make you worse
But I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again
Yeah, I know I'll see your face again
I'm never going down, I'm never coming down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more
I'm never coming down, I'm never going down
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more
