Padlocks of RIP and Love

Something different!

Went to look at the Falls of Feugh near Banchory in Aberdeenshire this morning. The footbridge beside the single-track bridge has recently been refurbished.

On crossing the bridge to look at possible photo opportunities I came across a number of Padlocks attached at various places on the metal grill. All where engraved with either RIP messages, name + name = love etc. Not just brass but painted ones and different shapes even down to a double heart shape.

Never seen this before, I am sure its been done else where, but a first for me to see.
