A Tale of Two Shoes

Shoe shopping for Jack is never simple. He refuses to go to the shop so we have to shop online.

He HATES new shoes (or new anything)

He can only do velcro as he refuses slip-ons and cannot do laces due to his dyspraxia.

Usually his Geox school shoes last him 12months but this pair (seen on right) were faulty. So I complained and order a new identical pair. Same size (40)

They arrive. Jack declares them too tight. But he claims the old ones are fine.

No problem. I send them back and order ANOTHER identical pair one size up. (41)

They also arrive. Jack declares them too tight. But he claims the old ones are still fine.

Hmm;.problem now is 41 is the biggest size Geox do.

I finally find a velcro pair in Clarks. (seen on left) They sell a foot measuring gauge and we measure him at home to be a 7F. So I order a 7G and 7 1/2 G.

They also arrive. Jack declares the 7 too tight.

(But he claims the old ones are still fine. )

He has grudgingly accepted the 7 1/2 may be ok. (He appears to have lots of room) But new shoes always hurt.

Now all I have to do is convince him to wear the new ones.
He couldn't today as it was PE. No idea why this mattered.
