Ready, Steady,Go

The car was in action at the local Tesco.
The stop and go light function, but I have never seen the amber one working. I wonder what actual purpose it serves.
While taking this out of my side window, the brushes were moving. Very, very disorientating feeling one gets. As if the car is moving. Looking forward you never really get that feeling.
