A lovely morning for a long stroll over the park (any suggestion that Hector and I were just avoiding the workman is neither here nor there...) There was sunshine on the flats and mist rising out of the frosty valley - and no-one was quite brave enough to sit out with their coffee just yet, despite the view...
I was going to feature the flats yesterday, legitimately enough, as I spent the day at a printing workshop making three new prints (xerox transfers with drypoints) from a previous photo of them, but now you're getting them today instead, albeit in the background. Actually previous shots on overcast days might not have led the casual observer to realise that you can peacefully eat a brownie and let your kids run round the playground whilst you're enjoying them...
Been listening to the new album from aussie psyche-popsters Blank Realm on repeat for a day or two - fabulous stuff. It kind of takes an old Flying Nun sound - kind of Television-ish with a slight Verlaine- yelp and a circling crystal guitar - and scuffs it up with a more contempary stoned vibe - perfect for warming up this current cold snap we're having...
