St. John's Church

A bit of a damp dreary day today. On my way home from the bank(which made it even more dreary) I thought I would have a wander through the churchyard.
It is sad to see it in such a state of disrepair with headstones fallen down everywhere and weeds growing over everything.
The foundation stone for the church was laid by Bishop Broughton on 3rd November 1840 and the building was completed in 1849
The needle spire is 38 metres high and
I think in fairly recently the chimes were restored to the clock which can now be heard all over Camden ringing out the quarter hours.
