Frosty morning

I've passed this cottage many times on my walks, however this morning, with some of the early morning frost still on the ground and the lovely muted lighting, it took on a whole new appearance.

After I took this photo, instead of continuing up the hill to Elstree, I took the path to the left which takes you through lots of open fields and eventually out on to the A41. I took quite a few landscape shots here which I was pretty pleased with as the lighting was so subdued. However, I was less pleased with the electric shock I got off some fencing! I didn't have the tripod with me so was resting my camera on top of one of the fence posts - must have touched the fencing as I had a huge jolt go through me - I was surprised at how strong it was! I never saw any signs saying it was an electric fence. Felt quite weird and achy afterwards for most of the day - certainly won't be doing that again in a hurry!!
