From the dark corner.....

Oh how delicious!

Dearie me! I have nodded off in the middle of Coronation Street and slept through all of it and missed Hayley departing the cobblers cobbles forever...

Oh well. Due to my inability to wake up in the evenings these days until it's nearly time for bed - typical! - I will make this a quickie! Yes, I will!

My day - got up, had shower etc, had breakfast, got the Daz Doorstep Name That Tune right and was working by 6:15.

Sorry, I will slow down a bit as I know you don't read very quickly. Anyway, I was working from home today as I knew HX50 was coming. It's a nice change to be at home on a Monday. There were a few help desk calls from the end of last week to clear off first. Honestly! Why do people log help desk calls a 4pm on a Friday? They then run home and expect people to miraculously have sorted their problems out by the time they get back in on a Monday. As it happens, the age old solution of switching things off and rebooting on a Monday really does cure most ills when it comes to computers.

Adrian Goldberg on Radio WM said that his producer had come into work this morning saying that the best film ever made was a Leonardo Di Caprio film with a wolf in the title - sorry I can't recall the name - and he asked for listeners' opinions. I rang up and told him what I reckoned was the best film ever which is The Shawshank Redemption. He disagreed saying he'd seen it once and it was too long! He said that his favourite was Casablanca, as there was a great story and a great song. When it comes to films, I switch channels when anyone starts singing. I told him that which tickled him. I had 'As Time Goes By' passing through my head all day after that.. Nothing like a chat on the radio to add a bit of variety to the day.

My camera and bag arrived just before midday but I was very disciplined and didn't look until after I had logged off for the day. I am delighted but as with all new things, I need to get used to it although it has all the same controls and symbols as my G12 and it isn't that much heavier.

Today's delicious shot was taken with my G12. The one I took with the HX50 later would put you off eating worms for life! Lovely large!!

Track? This was mentioned by Dennis in Coronation Street before I dozed off and is a classic from Herman's Hermits - I'm Into Something Good
