Look what I can do with the tickets

Today we decided to head into Edinburgh for a look around. So onto the train we jumped.

First stop was to get some lunch. With CJ walking the whole way from the train station to the cafe we were sure he would fall asleep during lunch. But he not only made it through lunch, he then decided he wanted to walk the rest of the way to the National Gallery to view the Turner exhibition.

CJ was amazingly well behaved in the art gallery - he walked nicely around and even took a special interest in a couple of the paintings but only because they contained puppy dogs and a monkey!

However, by the time we had finished looking around CJ was ready for a nap - perfect time for S2 to buy some new jeans.

Then we stopped for a quick drink and afternoon tea before heading back to the train station for the return journey.

And what better entertainment than making trains out of the tickets!
