The Pete District

Blue Over Gold

The local res (Ogston Water) gets the blip today.

It was cold this morning -3C.
A beautiful vista unfolding as the last pockets of night are banished by a new day.
Dead calm, a slight mist rising off the surface.
Just the cry of a single water fowl echoing across the water.
A serene and tranquil start to the day.

Strangely, (or maybe not if you know me) what was going through my mind as I framed the shot was;
'Why don't birds feet freeze in that water?'
