Talking Away, I don't know what, what to say

Oh, I do love visiting little worlds like this!

I spent quite a bit of time today examining this little thing in detail. I am completely entranced by these things, I am slowly coming to grips with what they do, but I am dumbfounded by the fact that they exist at all.

At what point does someone say, "I know... If I take a transistor, and stick it to a doodah, and lay a trap from the transistor to the resistor, and slap a chip in, it will save me all the time of doing that".

I sit for hours at a time trying to think of things that I can invent. Things that would make things better. But I think that everything that I need has been invented.

I spoke to P tonight about this particular one, and he explained the two floors, and the squiggly lines. It made sense, it really did. He also went a step back and explained the drawing that are produced first, and then they are passed to someone else who takes the drawings and the instructions and manage to fit them all on the little thing that needs to fit inside the other thing.

But why??

Why did "IC" think, "Wow, If I do this, then this thing will do that".

And then people buy it.
