Keeping Warm!

This miniature greyhound keeps warm by sitting in the fireplace.

The enormous fireplace is in a huge baronial hall in a vey ancient house near Ligueil in Central France.

There were at least 10 huge Deerhounds and various other lurchers all settled either on the sofa's or by the fire.
This little girl was the smallest of the mob. They were all very friendly and welcoming.
Their owner the Mum of my friend, greeted me with " Come in, come in. They won't hurt you. Don't be afraid!"
I was not afraid. Coming out of a dark hallway into the light my lens didn't change very quickly and I couldn't see where I was going. I was just greeted very enthusiastically by the gang.

They all settled down after coming to have a sniff and say hello.
Quite an experience.

Came home and Cameron (my dog) was all over me! Where have you been and with whom?
