Two Trees in January

The light was beautiful again today - shades of blue, white and grey all at the same time. This is a view looking across fields near to the house in Peebles. The fields in the foreground are used by a local livery yard for cross country riding. I seem to have developed an attachment to the two trees that stand alone in the middle of the field, as they have been the subject of many of my photos - although I've not really blipped them before (you can see them in the distance in this shot from December 2012 - my second ever blip!). I particularly like to stand at the end of the road and look at this view. There is always something of interest to see - horses being exercised over the jumps, crows squabbling amongst themselves or being tossed around in the wind, sheep quietly eating the grass, walkers returning from a circuit in the hills.....its important to find the time to stop and take it all in.
