Penang Hill

To-day we took the funicular up the hill in the centre of the Island.
If you ever come to Penang I would encourage you to do the same.
In times gone by, soldiers of the East India Company were stationed on the top, and they built a temple, which has been extended over the years. It is full of vitality,colour, ornamentation and statuary, a grandiose sight.
