Heading Home

Hersonissos is a nice place, but unfortunately it does lie directly under one of the main landing approaches for Heraklion Airport. Thankfully at this time of year this wasn't much of a problem.

Overall it was a great holiday, and the major downer - the wee man having some sort of bug for much of it - wasn't something we could do much about. On reflection, we should maybe have hired a car for a week rather than 3 days. The car hire was kind of a spur of the moment thing, in order to cut the cost of our Spinalonga excursion. Crete is a nice size of island for car hire, as there are lots of things to do on day trips.
