"JANUARY FEBRUARY DON'T YOU COME AROUND "
What a contrast we have had to yesterday. Today there has been an almost perfect blue sky. The birds are singing getting excited and already I have Snowdrops coming into bloom.
Today we took Matthew out for his fortnightly trip to Creech St Michael where he likes to watch the high speed trains thunder under the bridge. Not sure who gets more excited, Phoebe or Matthew. This is a view taken from this bridge looking back towards Creech Heathfield.
As it was quite cold, we didn't stay long and headed back to the garden centre where Mr A and Matthew enjoy coffee and cake while I wonder around with Phoebe. She likes to greet everyone, do a little dance and enjoys being made a fuss over. We always go and greet Twinkle, an African Grey Parrot who is extremly bright and likes to have a close up on Phoebes. Today I had the audacity to stroke his/her claws whilest she was distracted and she was so quick to respond. Muttering underneath her breath then letting out a huge screech. So amusing. One day she will tell me to go away or words to that effect!!
Matthew seemed to enjoy his trip today and all too soon, he had to go back for his lunch.
We have tried hard to relax this afternoon as much as possible, getting ready for the week ahead. Mr A doesn't really have time to relax. He's either wide awake, or sitting in a chair asleep. Its like all the energy is sucked out of him and I long for him to start living his life again!!
Hoping you have all enjoyed something in today. The weekends go all too quickly whilst the weeks can feel so long.
If we listen to the bird population, there is Spring in the air. But as we all know, we have to get through February which usually brings snow.
Thank you for looking in on my usual dribble and hoping you get something from it. Until we 'meet' again I bid you fond farewell and send you hugs and comfort:) xx
