Upper Inverroy provides very good walk value for Caley in terms of miles per time away from the house. We take the car -two minutes drive- only to avoid the need to walk at the side of the very fast A86.
While we went dressed for a soaking we got up and back again dry and if anything a bit too hot because of the extra water proof attire.
I have mentioned it before but the extended track takes the walker right to the back of Bohuntin Hill. It would be interesting to walk a big loop sometime. There would be one burn to cross-easy today- and a deer fence; more of an issue for Caley.
