The Day That Started Off Great Then Went Wrong
Oh my goodness, where to start?
I stayed over last night, after a lovely evening at date's house. We decided to skip the pub, and it was just nice to relax at home instead of being out all the time. I didn't sleep very well as I knew I had to be back for 10am for a dance lesson, cue me waking up multiple times in the night to check I hadn't overslept! There was a beautiful glow this morning and bright blue sky as I drove back. Everything looked so pretty. Made it to my lesson in plenty of time (phew!) and had a really good first Blackpool lesson for an hour. The only downside is I just realise it cost me £36.
I went home, and it was so nice to spend time in my house, in the daytime, and the sun. I have two side windows and the light just filters through, it's beautiful. Decided to go to Fego's for breakfast with one of my sisters, as we realised it might be our only hot meal of the day!
We drove home in the sunshine, and were on a 60 road, and slowed right down to 30 as there was a man and a dog crossing opposite a pub. The next thing I remember is my sister screaming and slamming on my brakes. Another dog broke free of his lead and I hit him. I feel awful. We jumped out, and the dog was on the other side, scrambling and running around. I really thought we had smooshed him, but I think he just hit the side and flew. I feel so guilty. I know there was nothing I could have done- he flew from between parked cars and I don't think I even saw him until after I hit him. The dog seemed to be ok, no blood, could stand and walk, but was off to the vet's anyway. We gave him our number but not heard anything. When we got home I checked my car, and the numberplate is half off, the grill is cracked, and really messed up. Shows how much of an impact it was. I cannot stop thinking about it. I know it could have been so much worse, but it honestly was a nightmare. All I could think about was Little B, and how being so much smaller, would probably not have survived. Doesn't bear thinking about it.
Hoping the dog is ok :-(
