The Road

This doesn't really sum up the day really, but I like this photo and it makes a change from endless photos of my girls, lovely as they are. Considering this journal is called Country File, I don't post many pictures like this these days. The main reason, I suppose, is that we don't live on the farm anymore so haven't got the countryside views literally on our doorstep. Life is also a LOT busier than it was when I started this journal.
This is the view en route to a birthday party in Haltwhistle this afternoon, where Ophelia and Arwen had a whale of a time on the bouncy castle and in the soft play. They also ate a lot of party food. In fact Arwen ended up regurgitating a lot of her food tonight at bedtime as I think she ate a bit too much. Grace stayed at home with Hubby and tried to do some science experiments with a kit she received for Christmas. Unfortunately the experiments didn't seem to work.
