Precisely as had been forecast, the persistent rain that set in here just after lunchtime yesterday continued through last night and all of today. This meant that today was exactly the kind of day to relish the feeling of being snug and warm inside, enlivened by the occasional gust of wind blowing heavy rain directly against the window.

Just the kind of day to do some baking. I experimented today with a mixture of roughly 70% White French Bread Flour and around 30% Khorasan Flour, making a deliciously crispy home-made pizza as well as the tasty loaf seen here cooling on the rack, fresh from the oven.
