A New Cake Recipe

S was pretty taken with this apple cake and got the recipe from Birgit. Followed it to the letter and it looks exactly like the picture shows but it doesn't taste like Birgit's! Tastes great though so I'm a happy bunny but S will have to investigate what she didn't do wrong. If it takes a few more trials to find out I won't be complaining!

Back up to see my mum today and she's in pretty good fettle though not fit enough to get home yet. (Took her a bit of the cake and it disappeared pretty darn quick.) She's in a lot better shape than our friend Keith who's been in intensive care for the last week. Just hope he can get over the after effects of a recent op and get out of there soon!
