Making the most of the day....

Woke to rain but as we had planned a walk on the coast we decided to give it a go. The weather was meant to improve so headed out to Sandsend and Mulgrave Woods.

Waterproofs were essential as we headed uphill to Mulgrave Castle. Although we have both orienteered in the woods we had never been to the castle. It was well worth the visit. On the way back we were overtaken by a couple of intrepid runners.

Emerged to see the brighter weather had attracted people out albeit suitably clad for the weather. I was attracted by the wooden groynes covered with barnacles, seaweed and some fisherman's twine. Had a play with the image whilst enjoying a cuppa.
