The filming of Mary Shelley's Story

Our local theatre put out a challenge for our film club to make a 2 min film by means of introduction to a theatre production of the life of Mary Shelley (author of Frankenstein). Mary's mother jumped into the river Thames one night as a an attempt at suicide in 1797. At sunrise this morning, with my Director's hat on, we filmed on the bridge at Eton and also in the cobbled streets around Windsor Castle. The Theatre had lent us a cloak appropriate to the times. I will change the footage to a night time look when I edit, substituting sunlight as moonight. It was interesting to see the reaction of passers by, many taking photos. I bet quite a few of them are expecting the next Scottish Widows advert to have the widow jumping off Eton Bridge!
