Feroze Shah Kotla
Today was all about meeting the relatives and getting to know them better. Managed to figure out a bit of the family tree. Also discovered how it feels to have two and a half lunches as opposed to the usual one. If the stomach was a person, it would surely have strangled me to death.
Travelled from the posh lanes of South Delhi to the laid back and simpler life in the North. Enjoyed watching youngsters playing cricket in the park, and the pile of burnt diyas lying in the corner, the laughter, but not some of the gibberish about stock-trading.
When all was done, we landed up at the Feroze Shah Kotla circket stadium to watch a T20 match. Not the most interesting match, but we had a good time. The crowd was happy that Delhi won, but T20 supporters aren't exactly the traditional fervent type. The free drinks section in our corporate box seats and even the cheerleaders generated more excitement than the match! Nevertheless, it was a good idea to go.
