Lowburn Lavender Farm

This afternoon I drove to Lowburn to check out the Lavender Farm, and yes, the lavender hasn't been harvested yet. We have permission to walk along the rows of lavender on our walk tomorrow (always weather permitting). The perfume is great, as you can imagine. I have been here twice before here and here.

As for Challenge Wanaka, it is all over. No more orange cones, no overhead bridge, no fences, no road closures, no cyclists and no people. Wanaka is back to normal, apart from the tents on Pembroke Park. It is raining and windy today, the Challenge was run in perfect weather. The athlete I was following came in 9th overall in the female event, in 11 hrs and 37 minutes. Good on you 'S'.
