It's Kinghorn's oil
It seems that in an effort to find new revenue sources before the vote on independence, the Scottish Government has allowed drilling a little closer to home* – just in case the maritime boundary line between a newly independent Scotland and a bereft England founders on the rock of international maritime law, and dodgy lines drawn on a map by Westminster.
Kinghorn, of course, will also be making a claim as Burntisland probably thinks this belongs to them. However I am in possession of a map that clearly shows a boundary, carefully drawn in ink, that puts this rig in Kinghorn's territorial waters.
I have to supplement my pension somehow...
