Vice Clamp Machining Tool

My Christmas present was made by for me by my son.

It is a desk top curio and useful shop tool in one.

Holding a rod securely while drilling into it can be a challenging problem.

My Christmas present makes it easy as can be.

The pieces of my clamp are machined out of a solid billet of very hard stainless steel.

Sliding the four parts together makes two clamps each tightened in place on the rod by two screws.

The four parts of the clamps are machined into the billet of steel using a Wire EDM device.

So amazing to cut very precisely through a block of steel as if it were a piece of cheese.
