Memories!

My first trip to the Falkirk Wheel today ..... and the rain came on! We had planned to have a good walk along the tow path, a coffee, watch the wheel in action then have another walk in the opposite direction before heading for home. We did manage everything but we were soaked by the time we got back to the car.
I love looking at narrowboats and was quite transported back to my younger days when I saw that the boat on the right of my blip came from the Alvechurch boat yard - the first narrowboat my friend Moira and I hired was called Jacaranda and we started our holiday from that very boatyard. That was the first of many canal and river cruises we enjoyed.
