A few days ago the Chester FC manager, who had led us to three consecutive promotions, left by "mutual consent". At 12.15 today a press conference was held and the new manager was unveiled.

He started his tenure with a victory. Only our fifth win this season.

From this angle he bears an uncanny resemblance to his predecessor.

I am so proud that a baker from my home town has just won Best Scotch Pie 2014. It is so many years since I last had one.
