Saturday feast

Friends from Virginia are over in London for a few days, so we arranged to meet in Borough Market, the foodie heaven in the shadow of Southwark cathedral just a short step (past The Shard) from London Bridge train station. What a feast for the senses the market is, although it seems more crowded every time we go there.

Came home with a satisfying haul of good bread, cheeses including my favourite comté, and some delicious mushroom pâté. This was my favourite stall, a colourful medley of wild fungi. What an agreeable way to spend a Saturday morning.
