One More for Breakfast

I was standing stirring a pan of porridge this morning when a rather excited hubby shouted "grab your camera, there's a woodpecker", so risking burnt breakfast I dashed to the window with camera in hand. Fortunately this male Greater Spotted Woodpecker hung around for a few minutes while I got some shots of him, I would have liked a brighter morning but you can't have everything, can you. The sun did briefly show it's face this afternoon but unfortunately Mr Woody didn't return so I had to go with the duller version, but on the up side, I managed not to burn the breakfast :-))
