Over the Edge

So I won a prize at the Kendal Mountain Festival - an Advanced Winter Skills course at Glenmore Lodge - well colour me happy - a chance to go and train with the best instructors in the UK in the harshest winter environment that Scotland can muster - that's gotta be a week well spent.
Today's semi-action shot is as I supervised lowering someone through a small cornice to reach some safer ground. There was no real way to take a picture that shows just how much hard work went into cutting through the cornice (about 12ft) and setting up the anchors - but it was great to get a chance to put these skills to use for the first time this year.
I don't think John looks too nervous...
