Casualty

I had an unexpectedly early departure from work after receiving a panicky call from Sophie. She had accidentally stood on a broken mug and blood was pouring out of her foot - which wouldn't stop bleeding. Thankfully casualty was quiet mid afternoon Friday and she was quickly assessed, x-rayed and then stitched back together. Apparently she had cut an artery. There was an iffy moment when she was told that she would need a local anaesthetic before the foot could be stitched. For somebody with a needle phobia this is hardly the equivalent of good news!!

Anyway, this is the least grisly of the shots which she insisted I take for Facebook etc.
