Burnside Village

My blip today shows the scene inside the atrium at the at Burnside Village shopping centre. It used to house a live River Red Gum which had to be removed after dying a slow and ugly death.

Despite efforts by the Village management to retain the tree, it did not respond or recover as was hoped. This was after everything was tried to improve its health, including UV lighting, nutrient injections and a misting system.

The space shown was formerly occupied by the tree in the centre, and the area is now being used for the coffee shop seen on the left, and to create a landscaped community meeting space for visitors to the Burnside Village.

Bigger spaces.
