Me and my shadow

I couldn't believe that this blue heron sat so patiently while I took his picture. Of course, there were several hawks harassing a field full of geese right behind him, so he may have been trying to keep a low(ish) profile.
A very nice lunch walk, for me anyway - for the geese, maybe not so much.
