Big skies

There were signs of the many fires that have been burning around the region this evening as we drove to Garfield for a 40th birthday party.

Today was the last of the forecast hot ones; it was too hot to stay outside for too long. I did a spot of quilting with MB and had a good chat with WB; then DB was sent home from work due to high temps for the fourth day in a row.

I had a snooze and then off in the heat for a drive through Melbourne.

Another late night, but much more comfortable now that the temperature is more normal!

This shot was taken from the side of the freeway. We saw it and DB screeched to a halt for me.
