The Flying Pig

They said that a pub would never pay its way in Dunscore, and so the owners called it the Flying Pig. Sadly, the doomsayers were right, but in a move which is more phoenix than porcine, the pub has reopened as a community venture, staffed by volunteers. We held our Ecocongregation meeting there tonight. It's a bit like having a drink in someone's living room, but I like that. Village living was never going to be anonymous anyway...
