Lifesaver?

Everywhere there is water you see these life belts, but are they really that efficient?

Well, apparently good for being towed out of the water, but pretty rubbish if you are jumping from a great hight from a sinking ship, (a la Titanic, where most jumpers broke their necks before hitting the water).

So the advice is if you are thinking of jumping, don't, and if you must then choose a device that inflates on hitting the water!!
