We are a strange bunch us photographers... When a loved one is in pain do we show concern? Well yeah, but the next reaction? Get the camera out!

Today my wife had the cast removed from her broken wrist. So my thoughts as we left the house this morning immediately turned to "grab the camera bag, that's my blip or the day sorted"

So I was expecting a contraption that could sense when the cast when cut or something... nah... stick a think plastic ruler down the other side and try and stop when you start cutting the ruler :-)

The ruler was covered in cuts afterwards.

My wife looks a little apprehensive about the situation to say the least!
