Munich Day Eight(ish): Olympiapark
So the aftermath of the party was not too bad...probably because Thom and I were very English and did a lot of the washing up the night before, while still being sociable too I hasten to add!
Tobias arrived looking like death a little worse for wear, but soon perked up after a coffee or two and it was decided that we would definitely have time for a wander around the Olympic Park on the way to the airport. Thom and I were a little unsure about it, due to us being English and liking to be early for flights "just in case anything goes wrong". Being German, Tobias and Laura had complete faith in their road system and airport and they were right. I am so glad that we got to see this place, as it really is stunningly beautiful, and so worth a visit. It seemed to almost summarise our entire time in Munich, in a beautiful place with wonderful friends powerwalking.
So this is all of us, at the highest point of the park, made from the rubble that British bombs made of Munich (thanks Tobias for reminding us!), and after a scan around the people, we actually managed to accidently find someone who knew how to use a DSLR, producing this lovely photograph of us.
Thom and I had such a wonderful time in Munich, and thanks so much to Tobias and Laura for being such amazing hosts. Next time, Liverpool.
