Desert Squirrel

Windy!

It has been really windy up here today, bright sunshine, but such strong wind that it is very unpleasant outside. I set up my tripod on the deck, and took some long exposures of the moving branches of these gum trees. Nothing was entirely stationary, but the degree of movement of the foliage is apparent.

Incidentally, I also learnt what dust on the rear element of the lens looks like.... a diffuse, dark spot. It was obviously a lens issue, because it was there with the telephoto lens but not when I used the standard zoom. I can't imagine how this hasn't happened before, as I don't clean the rear elements all that often, but now I know what to look for.
