016.365 - My Best Friend

I had to privilege of shooting my best friend of the past [almost] 30 years. It was a challenge to say the least. By it I learned what I want from "my" portraits. A portrait, in my opinion, is not a snap shot - "click". But it is an image that captures "the person" as you know him/her.

I was nervous whether or not I got the shot: after review, I believe I did. I like this one. It looks like my friend "to me".
