Adventures in Target

I had 2 appts across town today, but many hours apart from each other. I'm still determined to do the city bus thing. I easily rode b/w home & the campus where the appts were. Then I rode the bus to another location where a big Target store (similar to a super Tesco) is located to kill a couple of hours b/w the appts. While at Target, I plopped in their cafe & streamed tv on their wifi. It was 60 degrees & sunny; I felt accomplished to master the bus (it's easy) & avoid stupid rental car fees; one of my appts today greatly discounted my office visit (just because they're nice), & now I'm using my free Skype to make toll free calls (rather than use up precious minutes on my pay as you go US phone). I feel like I have rocked this day to it's maximum efficiency. Woo hoo.

Incase you're wondering, the general public just doesn't use the public transportation system. It's not a big service, so to get from point A to point B the bus zig zags all over the place & takes forever. Also, it has a stigma of being for creepy people (which is totally untrue).

Also, please note how wonderfully empty the Target store was at 11am. I never get this kind of peaceful shopping in England. Ahhhh. The store does liven up, but it's NEVER like England (except maybe on xmas eve).

Top marks for this day! Finished up with dinner at Bruno's.
