Felled

Our elderly neighbour asked J and N to fell a tree, it was leaning somewhat and he was concerned it would come down in the next high wind.

N is the man with the chainsaw and they headed off armed with ropes, a wheel barrow all sorts of light tools and the trailer. They needed to calculate where it should fall, at around 55 feet tall it wouldn't do to hit the bungalow on the opposite side of the driveway.

All went to plan and the bungalow remains intact, phew, and the tree is lying in large chunks ready for splitting and adding to their wood pile.

The above jagged stump was squared up and cut to make a chopping block for a house along the road. J is the man behind the camera today and managed to record some of the work.
