Hill Top Ramblings

Oh no not again....

There's an old dog in our family who is seriously addicted to chocolate. His first Christmas, when he was only 5 months old, he ate a whole large black Toblerone. Went mad around the garden, jumped in the pond and swam around in circles, and then slept it off.
Since then he has been a complete chocolate hound and nothing is safe, and so I do try and keep it out of reach.
When we got the new puppy I vowed she would never get a taste for chocolate, and for nearly two years I have succeeded . This morning I gave the dogs their breakfast and went upstairs to get dressed. The dogs unusually did not come up to wait while I got ready, and when I went down again there was a bit of a rustling noise coming from the kitchen.
Well! Merlin had remembered from the previous evening that there were some G&B mini chocolate bars, extra dark and strong, on the coffee table.
But he had not just scoffed them quietly himself, he had taken them through to the kitchen to share with Pepper!
How do I know that was what happened, you ask?
I KNOW!
